Project Overview
Gal Xlokk approached MDV with the goal of revitalising their brand identity. Their existing branding was outdated and no longer reflected the values, culture, and uniqueness of the South of Malta. The objective was to create a refreshed and modern brand that remained authentic, recognisable, and deeply rooted in the region’s heritage, while also being adaptable across both digital and print platforms.
The Challenge
The main challenge was striking the right balance between modernisation and tradition. Gal Xlokk wanted a contemporary look without losing the cultural essence and character that define the South of Malta. Additionally, the brand needed to be flexible enough to work seamlessly across multiple touchpoints – from stationery and physical marketing materials to digital platforms and social media – while maintaining strong visual consistency.
Our Approach
We began with a deep dive into Gal Xlokk’s identity, values, and connection to the South of Malta. Our design process focused on extracting key regional elements and translating them into a clean, modern logo and visual language.
Once the core branding was established, we extended it across all required materials, ensuring consistency in colours, typography, and layout. We also created clear brand guidelines to ensure long-term coherence and ease of use. The final result was a refreshed, professional, and distinctive brand identity that accurately represents Gal Xlokk while positioning them confidently for future growth.
