Project Overview

Cafe Royal, a well-known and highly popular cafeteria located at Pjazza Victoria in Rabat, Gozo, partnered with MDV to strengthen and expand their social media presence. Offering a varied menu including breakfast options, baguettes, traditional local ftira, and pasta dishes, Cafe Royal already had a strong local reputation, but required a more strategic and engaging digital presence to maximise exposure online.

The goal was to increase reach, engagement, and foot traffic through content that resonated with both locals and visitors to Gozo.

The Challenge

Despite being a popular spot in Gozo, Cafe Royal faced the challenge of maintaining consistent online visibility in a fast-moving social media environment. Traditional static content alone was not enough to fully capture attention or encourage interaction.

The key challenge was identifying content formats that would consistently perform well, drive engagement, and appeal to multiple audience segments while remaining authentic to the brand and its everyday atmosphere.

Our Approach

We optimised Cafe Royal’s social media profiles to ensure a strong and professional first impression. From there, we focused heavily on trending and engaging UGC-style video content, which proved to be the strongest-performing format for the brand.

By leveraging relatable, fast-paced, and visually appealing videos, we were able to significantly increase engagement and attract wider audiences to Cafe Royal’s content. This approach not only boosted interaction online but also helped reinforce Cafe Royal’s position as a go-to cafeteria in Gozo. We continue to manage and evolve their social media presence through creative, trend-driven, and performance-focused content.
